A NOTE FROM EYDIE

Since this album was first released, I have added two additional songs that I recorded with Luis Bonfa, the fabulous Brazilian composer/musician. This album contains some of my favorite bossa nova songs, Billy May, however, thought it would also be great to add some other standards like "The Coffee Song," "I Remember You," "Moon River" and "Almost Like Being In Love"...Never before done in the bossa nova tempo which at the time, was so fresh and new and exciting. I believe that even today, the bossa nova remains a huge musical style...especially when played by the great jazz musicians such as those who performed on this album. While Steve and I were performing in Japan, they honored this collection with the "Festival Award," which is their equivalent of our "Grammy Award." Also, I want to thank my friend and great musician, Nick Perito, for his valuable contribution to this project.
