Don Costa and the two of us started United Artist’s Records. Our dear friend Artie Mogull came on board to run the company. A word about Artie... When we first met, he was a song plugger for one of the big music publishing companies in New York. It was his job to bring new songs to the recording artists of the day. We became good friends and appreciated his input. Over the years, he was responsible for discovering many new recording stars who are still very popular. We could write a chapter about him... but let’s get back to Mogull at U.A.

One day Artie said he had an offer from a private company for a
‘Steve and Eydie’ album. It would only be used to promote their product, which was a shampoo. We agreed immediately because we got paid before going into the studio. Always a great incentive. This album is so good, and since it was never released commercially, we wanted you to hear it. We have included 6 bonus tracks for which we have had many requests and we think are in keeping with the rest of the music, which is simply fantastic!

Special kudos to the fabulous all star studio musicians... and choice material that Don Costa put together for us. We are alone and together on this CD. It is one of our best... so kick it up a notch and enjoy...
